About Silica Gel Sachet
A silica gel sachet is a small, closed packet stuffed with silica gel beads that absorb moisture employed for the protection of products from humidity, mold, mildew, and corrosion. The sachets hold Type A silica gel, which has high adsorption capacity between 30-35% of its own weight in water based on environmental conditions. The beads are packaged in permeable materials like non-woven fabric, Tyvek, or paper that will permit the passage of moisture while holding the beads in place. Silica gel desiccant packets range from 0.5 grams to hundreds of grams and can be used for a broad variety of applications such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, textiles, leather products, and other sensitive materials to moisture. They are not toxic, chemically inert, and generally conform to international safety standards like RoHS and REACH. With a shelf life of as long as two years when in a dry, airtight condition, silica gel sachets provide efficient and cost-effective protection from moisture.
Silica gel sachet is a moisture-dissolving desiccant packet filled with Type A silica gel beads, in non-indicating (white) or indicating (blue/orange) form. The beads, usually 1 5 mm in diameter, are able to adsorb 30-35% of their weight in water, and thus they are very efficient for humidity management. These sachets are available in various weights, between 0.5 grams and 500 grams, and are packaged in breathable packaging materials like non-woven fabric, Tyvek, or paper, through which moisture can enter but the beads are not released. Silica gel sachets are also extensively used in packaging electronics, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and leather products. They are chemically stable, RoHS and REACH compliant, and are safe for up to two years of storage in a dry, airtight environment.
