A Silica Gel Tyvek pouch is an ultra-performance desiccant sachet for enhanced moisture uptake and longevity. Made from silica gel beads white (non-indicating) or blended with moisture-indicating beads these pouches are encased in Tyvek, a resilient, porous, and tear-resistant material constructed from high-density polyethylene fibers. Tyvek is particularly good at resisting chemicals, is lint-free, and has low particle shedding, making it well-suited for use in cleanroom environments, pharmaceutical packaging, medical devices, electronics, and other sensitive applications.

The silica gel within generally takes up to 30-35% of its weight in water under conditions of high humidity. Pouch sizes vary from small (0.5g) to large (up to 1kg), and the bead size of silica gel is generally 1-3 mm or 2-4 mm. The structure of Tyvek provides for easy transmission of moisture vapor while retaining the desiccant safely within without ripping or impairing the product. These pouches are non-toxic, odorless, and compliant with RoHS, with pharma-grade options available. The use of Tyvek also extends the shelf life of the pouches and ensures high reliability even in critical moisture-sensitive applications.
